One room plus a galley kitchen on the west wall. Entry on the north. The only bathroom sits in the northeast corner. A beam crosses the only place the bed fits.

What the texts actually support
ClassicalNE is preferred for a shrine (Brihat Samhita 53.118), not a flush-toilet curse. Sleeping under a beam is the rare classical sleep line (53.124).
Living practiceKeeping the NE open and lit for morning sun is a modern reading. Indoor WC padas are a fight (NW vs SSW schools), not a classical rebuild order.
