Studio, north-facing door, NE is the bathroom
One room plus a galley kitchen on the west wall. Entry on the north. The only bathroom sits in the northeast corner. A beam crosses the only place the bed fits.

ClassicalNE is preferred for a shrine and for light (Brihat Samhita 53.118), not a flush-toilet curse. Sleeping under a beam is the rare classical sleep line (53.124).

Corridor door faces south. Kitchen is a north galley (builder stack). Living gets the south and west windows. Bedroom is east of the living room.
Rectangle one-bed. North galley. South door to the corridor. Living in the southwest with windows. Bedroom east.

ClassicalBrihat Samhita lists mixed effects by which slice of a wall the door sits in — including some decent south padas. Manasara 36.26 puts kitchens in north, NE, or Parjanya, so “north kitchen = catastrophe” contradicts a classical house chapter. Brihat Samhita 53.118 prefers kitchen SE.

2-bed rental, master is northeast, kids’ room is southwest
“Wrong” by popular room charts. Couples were told to take SW; kids were told to avoid SW. Here the quiet, lockable room with the better blackout is NE. The SW room is brighter and noisier (street).
Two bedrooms opposite. Northeast: quiet and dark. Southwest: street light and noise. Living to the center-north.

ClassicalBrihat Samhita 53.118 puts utensils and store in SW, not “master bedroom.” Manasara bedrooms sit in east-side padas (Satyaka / Antariksha), not a modern SW master rule.

Studio-loft. A bathroom pod sits near the middle of the plan. The work desk was shoved into a windowless niche. The kitchen is an island — southeast of the open room is actually the sofa.

ClassicalDon’t crush the center with impurity or a pillar on marma squares (53.57, 53.66) — for apartments: keep the middle walkable, not a dump. You cannot relocate a wet pod. Kitchen room rules do not move an island into the sofa.

The kitchen is fine (southeast). The door faces west. The northeast living corner is a dump.
